I. Instructional Management for the Success of All Learners:
Reflection: I believe one of the hardest tasks for school leaders is presenting a new idea or concept to staff. Educators are usually very passionate about their teaching style and changing their methods can be tough for some. Working with a variety of personalities can make it challenging to get unanimous staff buy-in.
Data-based decisions should be the driving force behind how we instruct our students. Unfortunately, there have been educators who disagree with these types of decisions. From my personal experiences, some educators do not approve of using data, because it shows the truth and that is something they fear. For others, it is the added workload of gathering the data, which occasionally goes unused. |
