G. Community Relations
Reflection: I observed a variety of district meetings that showcased community relations. School board meetings have several systems within the district present, stakeholders, and people from the general public.
A school district’s relationship with its community should be a priority for those in any leadership position. From my experiences relating to community relations, I believe it is one of the most important duties of a school district to keep all its stakeholders, staff and families informed. Furthermore, every leader should make a point to ensure that all stakeholders have a voice. This does not imply that every opinion is of equal importance, rather, it is setting a precedence. |
