F. Communication
Reflections: No matter if it is at the district level, at a PLC in your school or in your classroom with your students, communication is vital. Establishing a group of individuals that communicate effectively is the catalyst to teamwork being born. I believe communication is most efficiently utilized in a hierarchy; not to say there a level of importance among colleagues. I observe this exact idea at our leadership meetings, where our principal would pass on information to a team lead who would relay it to their team.
When this communication hierarchy is established, it can be looked at as if it were a time management tool. A lot of what I observed during leadership PLCs mirrored this same concept. Our administrators would communicate important topics and team leads would then communicate that to their corresponding teams. |
