A Little About
Myself.

Hello, my name is Benjamin Fowler.  I was born and raised in Fargo, ND, where I attended K-12 schooling in the JP II Schools District (formerly the FCSN).  I have a true passion for teaching and facilitating learning for children and joining them through this experience.

For most of my job history, I have had the pleasure of working with a diverse group of children.  I have worked in childcare, tutored, directed activities, and coached; all these jobs have helped me acquire essential building blocks for being a teacher.  During my job as Assistant Activities Director for the Boys & Girls Club I had the chance to work with refugees and children of low SES status.  The insight from that job alone was enough to be the cornerstone to my fundamental beliefs as a teacher.  My ability to show understanding and empathy for any situation grew immensely.

I am currently a 5th grade teacher in the West Fargo Public School District.  Throughout my years in teaching, I have been at two schools, had three different principles and teaching teams.  This has taught me to be flexible, as well as given me the chance to observe and work with a variety of leadership styles.

Before my time as a teacher, I attended the University of North Dakota. There, I acquired a bachelors degree in elementary education and a vast amount of knowledge and skills I utilize as a teacher today.  Many of the courses I have taken have given me valuable opportunities that have helped me grow as a better teacher throughout my career.

I am currently working to obtain a masters degree in educational leadership through the Minnesota State University of Moorhead.  I am also working towards a licensure as a principal in North Dakota, with aspirations of becoming an administrator in education.

I am very attentive and responsive to advice given to me, so I believe I will complement your school’s community and culture very well.  I appreciate the time you have taken to look over my educational portfolio.  If you have any questions regarding the information, please feel free to use the contact form below and message me directly.  Thank you and have a wonderful day!
